California.com has ceased operations as an ISP, and in it's place, a group of companies, under the administration of the Socially Responsible Internet Company® are taking over the former operation of California.com and Econetwork.net

Grin.net manages premium Email, SIP, Telephony, and other messaging services

SFO.net manages hosting services for business and individual users, managing web site, and some basic email services

SFO.com is an umbrella company that encompasses both Grin.net and SFO.net.

Econetwork.net is the Socially Reponsible Internet Company®

The short is that Grin.net is a player in the Socially Reponsible Internet Company Group, and provides various communication services to all members of the group, and to many of their customers.

Grin.net will only be able to provide california.com brand email and hosting until [Updated!] Dec 31st 2008. As of Jan 1st 2009 California.com as an email address will no longer be available.

Existing Service Continuation

Your california.com email address has already been enabled for use with sfo.com. If you were johndoe@california.com, you are also johndoe@sfo.com, and can begin giving this address out immediately.

There are a couple of settings in your email program that you should change, and our online tutorials will help walk you through these changes.

Visit http://www.grin.net/content/book-page/configuring-your-email-client and select your mail client

  • Your new mail server name is "mail.sfo.com" instead of "mail.california.com"
  • Your email address is now @sfo.com instead of @california.com. If you were johndoe@california.com, you are now johndoe@sfo.com.
  • Your username and password have not changed.

You will continue to receive email at your california.com email address until at least September 29th. If you are subscribed to mailing lists, or use this email address for any kind of subscription services from other web sites, please be sure to update your email address with them before this date.
